A man has been rushed to hospital with a chest injury following a stabbing in Lewisham. Police have arrested two men in connection with the violent incident.

Emergency services were called to Farrer House on Deptford Church Street at 11:47 am after reports of a stabbing. Officers found the injured victim outside Lewisham Hospital. His current condition remains unknown.

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust urged patients to continue using the hospital “as normal” despite police presence on-site.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, 27 February at 11:47 am police were called to reports of a possible stabbing outside Farrer House, Deptford Church Street, SE8.
“Officers attended and found a male with a chest injury at Lewisham Hospital. We await updates on his condition.
“Two males were arrested on suspicion of affray and are currently in custody at a south London police station. Several crime scenes remain in place as the investigation continues.
