Man Hospitalised After Brutal Bat Attack in Derby Park

A 30-year-old man is fighting for recovery after a savage attack in Arboretum Park, Derby. He was smashed over the head with a bat around 9pm on Friday, Derbyshire Police confirmed.

Victim Ambushed on Rose Hill Street

The victim was reportedly approached by a gang of unknown youths on nearby Rose Hill Street before being struck with the weapon. He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police Hunt Group of Suspected Youth Attackers

Officers are on the lookout for the attackers, described as Asian males aged 15 to 20. The main suspect was said to be wearing a long white thobe, a traditional kaftan robe.

Witness Appeal: Police Urge Public to Come Forward

Derbyshire Police urge anyone who was near Arboretum Park at the time to report any sightings or suspicious behaviour. They’re keen to speak to anyone who saw the group before or after the assault.
