Man Brutally Attacked in West Norwood – Police Hunt Witnesses
Police are scrambling for witnesses after a savage Grievous Bodily Harm attack left a 39-year-old man seriously injured in West Norwood. The violent assault happened around 9:30pm on Friday, 30 March, on Station Rise, SE27.
Three Men Involved in Shocking Attack
Witnesses reported that the victim was attacked by three males. London Ambulance Service rushed him to a south London hospital with a severe head injury. Thankfully, he has now been discharged and is recovering at home.
Three Arrested, But Police Still Want More Info
Fast police action led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man on Brixton Road, SW9, the following day. Two more suspects – a 44-year-old and a 24-year-old – were detained on Sunday, 1 April. All three have been bailed to return at the end of April.
Detective Constable Carolina Luby, Brixton CID, said: “Although three arrests have been made, we strongly urge anyone who saw what happened to come forward. The victim’s injuries suggest he was punched and kicked in a very violent attack. Luckily, he avoided permanent damage.”
