Man Hospitalised After Brutal Assault in Gosport

A 30-year-old man was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital after a savage attack in Gosport late on Friday night.

Violent Attack on Wilmott Lane

Police say the victim was hurled down concrete stairs at flats on Wilmott Lane around midnight on November 4. The assault didn’t stop there — he was beaten again while on the ground.

He suffered injuries to his head, shoulders, arms, and hands and is currently receiving treatment.

Police Hunting Young Male Suspect

Officers want to find a man seen near the scene. Here’s what he looks like:

  • White male, aged 19-20
  • About 6 feet tall
  • Skinny build
  • Short, dark blond hair with a side parting
  • Wearing a white t-shirt, dark tracksuit bottoms, and trainers

“We believe this to be an isolated incident, but we urge anyone who was nearby or saw anything suspicious around the time to come forward,” said DC Sharon Lewry of the Eastern Investigations Team.
