Chaos erupted at 4.30am this Monday (May 20) when a gang of five or six men smashed their way into the Applegreen Service Station on Swaythling Road, West End.

The brazen burglars, armed with metal objects, forced entry before threatening a staff member inside. They ransacked the till and a safe holding over £8,000, then grabbed cigarettes from behind the counter before fleeing.
