Met Police Officer Stabbed Responding to Armed Suspect in Enfield
A Metropolitan Police officer was critically injured after being stabbed while responding to a knife-wielding suspect in Enfield, North London, yesterday afternoon. The attack happened at around 4:20pm on Mandeville Road during a tense confrontation with an armed man.
Officer Seriously Hurt but Stable After Knife Attack
The officer sustained severe shoulder wounds but was given immediate first aid by his colleagues, including a life-saving tourniquet. Paramedics rushed him to hospital, where he is now reported to be in stable condition.
Suspect Arrested and Treated for Minor Injuries
Officers quickly disarmed and detained the 30-year-old suspect, who also suffered minor injuries during the struggle. He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged. Police have launched a full investigation, with the Directorate of Professional Standards notified as per protocol.
