Young Moped Rider Critical After Police Pursuit Crash in North London
A man in his 20s is fighting for his life after his moped collided with a bus in Brantwood Road, N17, just after midnight on Wednesday, 21 August. Police were pursuing the moped at the time of the crash.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
London Ambulance Service and other emergency teams responded immediately. The severely injured rider was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition. Authorities have informed his next of kin.
Thankfully, no other injuries have been reported following the collision.
Investigation Underway, Roads Still Closed
The circumstances of the crash are now under investigation. Road closures remain in place on Brantwood Road as police and investigators continue their enquiries.
The Directorate of Professional Standards and the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) have been notified, as per standard protocol when a police chase results in a serious incident.
