Murder Probe Launched After Early Morning Club Stabbing in Ilford

Police have opened a murder investigation following a fatal stabbing in Ilford. At around 5:05am on Saturday, 7 March, officers were called to a nightclub on Ilford High Road after reports of a man injured in a stabbing.

Victim Dies in Hospital, Suspect Held

Emergency services rushed the victim to an east London hospital, but he tragically died at 11:41am. The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Ricardo Fuller, with next of kin already informed.

A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at an east London police station. A post-mortem will be conducted in due course.

What Happened Inside the Club?

Initial reports suggest Ricardo was attending an event at the club when he stepped outside and was attacked. He was chased and managed to return inside before collapsing from his injuries.

Police Seek Witnesses

Homicide detectives from the Specialist Crime unit are investigating. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is urged to contact police on 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting CAD1562/7Mar.
