Doncaster Murder Probe Underway After Nightclub Brawl Turns Deadly
Detectives have launched a murder investigation in Doncaster after a violent fight outside a nightclub ended in tragedy. Jamie Adam Kelly, 30, from Leeds, died in hospital today following an assault in the town centre late on Sunday night.
Night Out Turns Fatal at Vintage Rock Bar
At around 9.40pm on Sunday, Jamie was reportedly thrown out of the Vintage Rock Bar on Silver Street. Once outside, he got into a physical altercation with three men. The victim suffered serious injuries. Police performed CPR at the scene until paramedics arrived, but sadly Jamie passed away in hospital.
Three Men Arrested Over Deadly Attack
- A 40-year-old man from Worksop
- A 26-year-old man from Nottingham
- A 33-year-old man from an undisclosed location
All three were arrested at the scene on suspicion of Section 18 assault. They have now been re-arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody as inquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Detectives thank the public for coming forward with tips, photos, and videos. But they need more help to piece together what happened. Anyone who was inside or outside the Vintage Rock Bar around 9.40pm Sunday is urged to contact South Yorkshire Police.
