Man dies after hit-and-run crash in Cricklewood
A 67-year-old man has died following a hit-and-run collision in Cricklewood in the early hours of Wednesday, 11 April.
Tragic crash near Mora Road
At around 4:50am, police were called to Cricklewood Broadway, near the junction with Mora Road, NW2. Colin Corker was found lying on the road with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. Despite being rushed to a north London hospital, he sadly died two days later on Friday, 13 April.
Driver flees scene – police hunting Audi
Officers believe Colin was hit by a dark-coloured Audi A4 or A6, which fled without stopping. The car is suspected to have damage to the front right windscreen. A post-mortem is planned as investigations continue.
Police urge witnesses to come forward
Detective Sergeant Jane Shaw said, “Someone out there knows what happened to Mr Corker. It will be weighing on their mind. We urge anyone, especially garage workers who may have seen a damaged Audi A4 or A6, to contact us immediately.”
