Police Probe Mote Road Car Park Clash – Was Woman Assaulted?
Kent Police were called to a tense scene at 10pm on Saturday, 23 October 2021, after a disturbance erupted in an open-air car park near Mote Road and Chancery Lane.
Reports say two men and a woman were involved in a heated altercation before driving off in a small car, possibly a Fiat 500.
Woman May Have Been Assaulted
Detective Sergeant Richard Crowhurst revealed: “An incident was witnessed where a woman might have been in distress and subjected to an assault. At this stage, it’s unclear if this is a misunderstanding or if a crime has taken place.”
Police have launched house-to-house inquiries and checked CCTV footage, trying to identify the people in the car and their destination.
DS Crowhurst urged, “We want those involved to come forward so we can uncover the full facts. We’re also asking locals and drivers in the area to review their CCTV or dashcam footage for any clues.”
