Brawl Erupts at Slug and Lettuce, Victoria Street

Police rushed to the Slug and Lettuce on Victoria Street just after 11pm on Saturday, March 5, amid reports of an assault.

What started as a verbal spat quickly spiralled into a full-on brawl. Multiple people were hurt in the chaos.

Two Men Arrested and Released

Officers arrested two men on suspicion of assault during the incident. They were later released, with inquiries ongoing.

Police confirmed there were no formal claims of drink spiking at the time.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Inspector Lysak said: “We’re piecing together exactly what happened that night. So far, there isn’t enough evidence to move forward. We believe many people saw the incident or its build-up in the busy bar and might hold crucial information.”

He urged anyone with details to come forward and warned: “Drink spiking is taken very seriously. If you suspect you’ve been spiked, please report it immediately to preserve vital evidence.”
