Late-Night Assault Shakes Mu Mu Nightclub on Week Street
Man Attacked Upstairs at Popular Club
Trouble erupted at Mu Mu on Week Street between 11pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, 25 March 2023. A man in his 30s was casually sitting on a sofa in the upstairs area when a stranger approached and allegedly assaulted him.
Victim Suffers Facial Injuries
The victim suffered facial injuries and was later taken to hospital for treatment. The attack sent shockwaves through the packed nightclub.
Suspect Flees with Two Accomplices
The suspect fled the scene with two associates. He is described as white, of average build, around 5ft 7in tall, with dark hair, and wearing a dark polo shirt.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“There were many people in the nightclub at the time. We urge anyone who saw what happened to come forward,” said PC Ben Cox, the investigating officer.
