Violent Scrap Erupts on M25 Slip Road as Man Attacked at Traffic Lights

Chaos broke out just before noon on Saturday 4 March 2023 when a peaceful queue at the Swanley slip road turned violent. A man driving a red Vauxhall Viva had pulled off the M25 heading toward the Dartford Tunnel. As he waited at the traffic lights, a driver in a black Mini suddenly stormed out and launched an assault.

Attack Leaves Driver With Facial Injuries

The victim suffered a nasty cut to his face, severe enough to require hospital treatment. Police quickly arrived on the scene. Officers arrested a man in his 50s in connection with the attack.

Police Seek Witnesses to Road Rage Incident

PC Lexi Carter urged anyone who saw the fracas to come forward. “Other motorists were queued at the traffic lights and may have witnessed this incident,” she said. “An investigation is underway and we are appealing to anyone who may be able to assist our enquiries to contact our appeal line.”
