Police Hunt Witnesses After Sexual Assault on Inverness to Glasgow Train
Detectives are desperate for witnesses following a disturbing sexual assault on a train from Inverness to Glasgow.
Man Approached Woman, Made Unwanted Advances
On Saturday 14 May, just after 5.30pm, a woman was travelling on the train when a man approached her. There were also football fans on board at the time.
The man sat next to her and offered her alcohol. He then touched her inappropriately. The woman clearly said, “no thanks.”
Despite her refusal, the man stayed in his seat and tried to communicate with her throughout the journey. He later kissed her on the cheek and whispered, “I 1 you,” before getting up and leaving the carriage.
Public Urged to Come Forward
Police want to speak to anyone who saw what happened to help with their investigation.
