Man Snatches Spotlight After Sledging Harnham Garden Sheds
Police were scrambled to a Harnham home at 9.30pm after a cheeky bloke was caught sneaking around a garden on security footage.
Suspect’s Quick-Fingered Raid Caught on Camera
Officers arrived to find nobody about, but CCTV told a darker story — a garden shed and two storage units had been burgled.
Chase Ends at Mill Pub as Crook Nabbed
Police shared a detailed description of the suspect and scoured the area. A man matching the profile dodged cops on Netherhampton Road but was caught near the Mill pub close to Town Path.
The arrested man, in his twenties, is now in custody, facing burglary charges.
Further Burglaries Discovered as Police Probe Deepens
Investigations uncovered other break-ins along the same road. Enquiries remain ongoing.
“Thanks to a sharp-eyed resident who raised the alarm, we acted fast and caught one man for questioning,” said A/Sgt Andy Windsor.
“We urge locals to report any break-ins or suspicious clothing found overnight.”
