Loud Smash in Carlton: Four Arrested After Nighttime Break-In
A deafening bang and shattering glass echoed through an empty semi-detached house on First Avenue, Carlton, late Wednesday night.
Youths spotted fleeing the scene, with cars speeding away shortly after. Police swiftly tracked down a nearby vehicle containing four suspects linked to the chaos just before 11:30pm on 25 January 2023.
Suspects Nabbed With Weapons and Drugs
All four occupants were arrested. Authorities seized the car and several weapons from inside.
- 18-year-old man #1: Questioned for aggravated burglary, possession of offensive weapons, bladed articles, affray, and possession of a Class B drug.
- 24-year-old man: Arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, offensive weapon possession, bladed article possession, affray, and Class A drug possession.
- 18-year-old man #2: Held for affray, aggravated burglary, and carrying a bladed item in public.
- 18-year-old man #3: Arrested for affray, aggravated burglary, offensive weapon, and bladed article possession.
Police Promise Full Investigation
“Our investigation is ongoing to uncover the motive and full details,” said Detective Sergeant Jo Eaton of Nottinghamshire Police. “We acted quickly and arrested four suspects linked to the incident. This sends a clear message that such criminal behaviour will be dealt with robustly.”
