Wiltshire Police Crack Down on Drink and Drug Drivers in Penhill and Pinehurst

Wiltshire Police launched a no-nonsense traffic blitz across Penhill and Pinehurst from Friday night through Saturday. The goal? Protect locals and keep the roads safe.

Operation Results: Drink and Drug Drivers Nabbed

In just two days, officers stopped:

  • 1 drink driver
  • 2 drug drivers

Community Safety Takes Centre Stage

Sgt Georgina Romani of the Stratton, Central North and West 1 Community Policing Team said:

“This was another show of positive action being taken in the local community to ensure residents are being kept safe both in their surroundings and on the roads. We set up a number of locations where we stopped every vehicle coming in and out to crack down on drug offences.”

She added:

“While the results were positive, we were just as pleased with the high number of negative breath tests returned. It’s a small minority forcing us to act, but we will continue to take these offences seriously and disrupt drug-related crime in the area.”

Police Urge Community to Stay Vigilant

The police thanked locals for their support and urged residents to report suspicious behaviour. If you suspect a neighbour is drug driving or dealing, call 101. In an emergency, dial 999 immediately.
