Brutal Fight Leaves Man with Fractured Skull in Worksop
Police rushed to a violent scene outside a store on Gateford Road, Worksop, just after 2.30am on Saturday, 25 February. Officers found a man in his 30s lying unconscious on the floor amid reports of a fight involving a group of people.
Victim Airlifted to Hospital
The victim was quickly taken to hospital, where doctors discovered he had suffered a fractured skull. Thankfully, he has since been discharged and is now recovering, though police say the attack was a “nasty assault” that needed urgent medical care.
Police Hunt for Attackers
PC Chris Putland of Nottinghamshire Police urged anyone who witnessed the fight or knows the culprits to come forward. He said:
“This kind of assault and behaviour – no matter if it occurred in the middle of a busy Saturday night or the middle of the day – will never be tolerated.
“We are carrying out extensive CCTV inquiries and our neighbourhood officers are patrolling Worksop town centre regularly. We need anyone with information to step up.”
