Man Held for Fatal Stabbing
Police arrested a 25-year-old man from Southampton today (22 March) on suspicion of murder. He is currently being held in custody as the investigation heats up.
Another Suspect Rearrested and Released on Bail
A 39-year-old Southampton man, initially arrested for assisting an offender, was rearrested yesterday on suspicion of murder. He has since been granted bail while detectives continue their inquiries.
Victim Died from Stab Wound
Mark, 64, tragically died from a stab wound to his chest at his home on Warburton Road, Southampton, on 25 February.
Police Hunt Still On for Key Suspect
Acting Detective Chief Inspector Howard Broadribb, leading the probe, said:
“New evidence emerged that led us to rearrest this individual. We’re working through a trove of information and leads. These arrests demonstrate our ongoing commitment to delivering justice for Mark and his family in this complex case. We’re still appealing for information on 23-year-old Leighton Tabone, linked to Southampton and Gosport. If you see him, call 999 immediately. Anyone found sheltering him risks arrest.”
