Thames Valley Police Hand Over Arrest Case to Watchdog
Thames Valley Police have voluntarily passed an arrest incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) for a full independent review.
Incident Outside Wycombe Police Station
The case involves a man arrested by two officers outside Wycombe Police Station last Saturday. Following an internal probe, the force decided to make the referral to ensure transparency.
Independent Review Underway
This move is standard when public interest is high. It allows the IOPC to conduct an impartial investigation into the circumstances of the arrest.
Police Stay Tight-Lipped
As the force has now referred this matter to the IOPC, it would not be appropriate for us to comment further at this time,” Thames Valley Police said.
