Tragic Crash Kills Pregnant Woman and Elderly Man in Leopold Street Horror
A fatal smash rocked Leopold Street on Wednesday night, August 10, 2022. Forty-year-old Noga Sella, who was five weeks pregnant, and 81-year-old Yoram Hirshfeld were both killed after being slammed into by a black Alfa Romeo around 9.35pm.
Family in Mourning as Husband Survives Serious Injuries
Mrs Sella’s husband, Omer, suffered serious injuries in the crash. Two children were also hurt in the chaotic collision. The grieving family has thanked those who assisted at the scene and urged anyone with information to come forward, no matter how small the detail.
Police Hunt Crucial Witness: Mystery Motorcyclist
Detectives want to speak to a motorcyclist seen near the crash. The rider wore a black helmet and was on a cruiser-style bike with a full-length chrome exhaust. Witnesses say the biker turned into Leopold Street from Harbour Parade before continuing on Queen Street just as the collision happened.
Dashcam Footage and CCTV Urgently Needed
Officers are appealing to locals who might have dashcam footage from around 8.30pm that evening. Nearby businesses with CCTV are also urged to check and share any relevant footage to help piece together the deadly incident.
