Huge Drug Haul in Dublin 2 as Gardaí Smash Supply Ring
Big Drug Bust at Kevin Street
Gardaí from Kevin Street Garda Station’s Divisional Drugs Unit staged a major swoop yesterday in Dublin 2. Their targeted search uncovered over €150,000 worth of illegal drugs. The haul included cannabis, cocaine, and benzodiazepines, plus a stash of cash and drug paraphernalia.
One Man Arrested on the Spot
A male suspect was arrested at the scene and is now being held at a Garda station in Dublin City. He’s detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, which allows police to hold suspects for questioning.
Probe Ongoing as Gardaí Crack Down
Investigations are still underway. Gardaí expect more charges once forensic labs finish testing the seized substances. A Garda spokesperson said:
“This seizure represents a significant disruption to local drug distribution networks. Our Divisional Drugs Unit continues to target those involved in the supply and sale of controlled substances in our communities.”
Public Asked to Help Fight Drug Crime
The authorities urge locals to report suspicious drug activity to help stamp out organised crime. Anyone with information can contact Kevin Street Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any local Garda station.
