Hunt On for Sick Rapist Who Targeted 11-Year-Old Girl in Holmer Green

Police are urgently appealing for witnesses after a horrific rape of an 11-year-old girl on a public footpath in Holmer Green.

Brutal Attack in Broad Daylight

The shocking attack happened at around noon on Saturday, 1 June. The young victim was walking between Rookery Meadow and the woods near Watchet Lane when she spotted a man using a mobile phone at a gate. Without a word, he grabbed her arm, dragged her into the woods, and raped her before fleeing the scene. The terrified girl then made her way back to Holmer Green village.

Suspect Description Released

The offender is described as a white man, about 18 years old, medium build, roughly 5ft 4in tall. He has brown eyes and a distinctive pointed nose that tilts upwards. Witnesses say he wore a black or blue Adidas or Nike fleece tracksuit and a black baseball cap with white lettering.

Police Appeal for Dashcam and CCTV Footage

Detective Inspector Kate Francis of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit said: “Since this incident was reported, we have been reviewing CCTV and carrying out house-to-house enquiries. We are appealing to anyone in the Watchet Lane and Rookery Meadow area between 11am and 1pm on 1 June who saw anything suspicious to come forward. Dashcam or CCTV footage could hold vital evidence.”

Superintendent Amy Clements, Local Area Commander, added: “The community will understandably be worried. We want to reassure everyone this is an isolated incident with no other reports of this nature. We’ll have increased police patrols while the investigation continues.
