Thieves ‘Fish’ Keys Through Letterbox to Steal Two Vehicles in Burghfield
Raid Under Cover of Darkness
Burglars struck in the dead of night, stealing two vehicles from a driveway in Burghfield between 10pm Wednesday (Jan 19) and 7am Thursday (Jan 20). The crooks pulled off a slick move, “fishing” car keys through the letterbox before making off with both rides.
Targeted Vehicles Taken for a Rapid Getaway
The loot included a blue Audi Q5 and a blue Ford Tourneo Custom van, specially adapted for wheelchair users. Both were parked outside and driven off at speed along East Street, heading towards the Ewell Bypass.
Police Hunt Hooded Trio on CCTV
Officers are hot on the trail of three slim-build men caught on CCTV near the scene. All wore hoods, balaclavas, and dark clothing. The police want anyone who spotted anything suspicious or caught the getaway on dashcam or doorbell video between 3.10am and 3.30am to come forward immediately.
