Tragic Hit-and-Run: 61-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed on Parkhurst Road

Police were called to Parkhurst Road at 10.45pm on Thursday, 24 February, after a serious collision involving a white Range Rover and a pedestrian.

Victim Dies After Being Rushed to Hospital

The pedestrian, a 61-year-old man from Ventnor, was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital in critical condition. Sadly, he later died from his injuries. His family has been informed.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Detective Sergeant Steven Phillips urged anyone who saw either the white Range Rover or the man walking along Parkhurst Road at the time to come forward. He said:

“Any information you may have, no matter how small or insignificant, could really help aid our investigation.”

Officers are keen to hear from dashcam owners who might have footage from the area during the incident.
