Bedworth Terror: Man Goes on Violent Rampage in Town Centre
Just after 8am, chaos erupted in Bedworth town centre when a man launched a brutal attack on passersby. Police rushed to the scene after reports of multiple assaults along Coventry Road and Gilbert Close.
Stabbing Victim in Hospital, Others Injured
A man in his 20s was reportedly stabbed during the rampage. He was rushed to hospital and remains in a stable condition. Meanwhile, ten other victims suffered minor injuries and are cooperating with police.
Suspect Arrested – Police Hunt Ends
A 33-year-old local man was arrested and is currently in police custody. Detective Sergeant Rich Simpkins confirmed:
“We have a man in custody and are not looking for any further suspects in connection with this incident.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Simpkins added:
“This nasty incident has left many injured and will surely concern the community. You’ll see more officers around Bedworth town centre while inquiries continue.”
The police are urging anyone who saw the attack or was approached by the suspect to come forward. Those with mobile phone or dashcam footage from Coventry Road and Gilbert Close between 7.45am and 8.05am on the morning of April 23 are especially encouraged to help.
