White Van Ploughs Into Man in Early Morning Horror
Just before 3am on 23rd May, chaos erupted when a white van mounted a kerb and smashed into a man in his 20s. The driver narrowly missed a second man nearby.
Serious Head Injuries but No Life-Threatening Harm
Officers rushed to the scene and found the victim with serious head injuries. He was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital. Thankfully, police say his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing at this point. The second man escaped unharmed.
Arrest Made as Police Hunt Witnesses
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, dangerous driving, and driving over the alcohol limit. He remains in custody.
Police believe several witnesses saw or heard the incident and urge anyone with information to come forward.
