Fatal Collision Shuts Down Scotland Road
Just after 2.30am, emergency services raced to Scotland Road following reports of a collision between a taxi and a pedestrian. Tragically, the 19-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The taxi driver stopped immediately and is cooperating fully with police as investigations get underway. Authorities have closed roads in the area and are urging drivers to find alternative routes.
Police Launch Serious Collision Probe
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said, “Our thoughts and condolences are with the family of the young man who lost his life this morning. We have begun a full investigation and notified his family. Liaison officers are supporting them at this difficult time.”
He added, “We believe a group of people nearby may have seen what happened. We urgently ask witnesses to come forward. If you have CCTV from local properties or dashcam footage from your vehicle, please contact us.”
