Sniffer Dog Sniffs Out Suspected Drug Dealer in Maidstone
A drugs dog helped cops nail a suspected dealer in Maidstone last Friday night.
Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest
At 10.10pm on February 25, Maidstone Task Force officers pulled over a Vauxhall Corsa on Barton Road. The 18-year-old driver, from Peterborough, was questioned before officers called in PD Roxy, a trained sniffer dog.
PD Roxy Pinpoints Drugs
The dog indicated the presence of controlled substances in the car or on the driver. A search at the station uncovered a stash of suspected Class A drugs hidden under the young man’s clothing.
Suspect Caught and Released
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply but has since been released pending ongoing investigations.
