Police launch urgent appeal after a brazen armed robbery attempt shocked a Kingswood takeaway.
Masked Man Threatens Staff with Weapon
The drama unfolded at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, 10 November 2020, at a takeaway on Cayser Drive near Maidstone.
A man, believed to be armed, demanded staff open the cash till. But quick-thinking employees refused, forcing the suspect to flee empty-handed towards Holly Tree Close.
Suspect Hunt Underway
The suspect is described as a slim, white male aged 20-30. He wore a red hooded top with the hood up, matching red bottoms, gloves, and a red face mask.
Detective Inspector Darren Reynolds of the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad said: “While investigators are reviewing CCTV and carrying out enquiries, we want to hear from anyone who saw the incident or the suspect in the area.”
He added a call for motorists and residents with dashcams or private CCTV to check footage from 9pm to 10pm in Kingswood.
