Police Hunt Man After Woman Bitten by Dog in Gateshead

Police are on the lookout for a man after a woman was bitten by a dog in Gateshead last weekend. The shocking incident happened shortly after 6pm on Saturday, September 23, on Hawthorn Drive, Dunston.

Woman Bitten, Man Flees

According to reports, the woman was approached by a man walking his dog. Suddenly, the dog lunged and bit her upper right leg, leaving teeth marks and bruises. The man quickly walked away with the dog, leaving the victim shaken.

The woman was treated at hospital and has since been discharged.

Police Release Image, Appeal for Information

Officers have now released an image of the man they want to speak to, believing he holds key information. They urge anyone who recognises him or knows his identity to come forward.
