Tragic Stabbing on Fernhead Road: 19-Year-Old Dies After Late-Night Fight
Police rushed to Fernhead Road, W9, shortly after 10pm on Saturday, 31 October following reports of a violent fight involving a group of young men.
Despite frantic efforts by emergency services, including first aid from the London Ambulance Service, a 19-year-old man tragically died at the scene.
Victim Identified, Investigation Underway
Detectives believe the victim is 19-year-old Eltom Mohamed Eltom. His family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. Formal identification is still pending.
Two Men Arrested Over Murder
- A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder but later released under investigation.
- Another 20-year-old was arrested on Friday, 13 November, and remains in police custody.
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) is leading the probe into this brutal incident.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Stancombe said: “We believe Eltom suffered a fatal stab injury during a fight involving 12 males on Fernhead Road.”
“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at around 10pm on 31 October.”
“Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting reference Cad 9734/31Oct.”
