Raid Leads to Arrest of Nottingham Drug Dealer
Officers swooped on a property on Hucknall Road just days later, on 16 November 2022. Curtis Campbell, 31, was arrested at the scene, with incriminating evidence found on his phones relating to drug importation and supply.
Campbell, from Oulton Lodge, Top Valley, Nottingham, admitted charges including importing and producing Class B drugs. He was sentenced to four years and eight months in jail at Nottingham Crown Court on 21 February 2023.
Earlier Parcel Intercepted at Coventry International Hub
The court revealed another shipment, sent from the US to Campbell, was seized by Border Force officials in Coventry on 2 May 2022. This package contained 530g of cannabis worth up to £4,500. Campbell was arrested in August 2022 in connection with this incident.
Police Praise Teamwork in Tackling Organised Crime
Detective Constable Ben Grayson said: “These detailed investigations show how Nottinghamshire Police and its partners work tirelessly to prevent and combat this level of organised crime.”
“I’m delighted our operations have stopped a drug dealer in his tracks and taken an extremely large quantity of drugs off the streets, reducing harm and cutting off funding for organised crime.
“We’ll keep disrupting criminals who profit from selling illegal drugs that devastate our communities.”
