Eyewitness Speaks: Essex Gang Trouble
“There was a big group from Essex. One man had a knife and a gun,” said a staff member working at the venue where the first stabbing happened.
“It kicked off badly. The guy who was stabbed looked in a bad way. He even managed to walk to the stairs before collapsing.”
“We were told to go home early. The past few weeks have been hectic despite the city being closed off. There keep coming big groups from Essex, and this stabbing is the third in less than two weeks.”
With a recent surge in violence, locals fear the City’s safe image is under threat as crime escalates in the heart of London’s financial district.
