Woodland Search Underway in Murder Probe of Missing Man Shah

Detectives hunting for Mohammed Shah Subhani – known to friends as ‘Shah’ – are scouring woodland near Hedgerley Lane, Beaconsfield. Specialist officers and search dogs are combing the isolated Buckinghamshire area in a desperate bid to crack the case.

Top Cop Pleads for Local Tips

Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh, leading the investigation, said: “I want to thank the community for their patience. We’re carefully searching a large, secluded woodland that could take some time to examine forensically.

He added: “The search might spread to nearby areas, but we’ll try to keep disruption low. Shah’s family are being kept updated, and my thoughts are with them at this painful time.”

DCI McHugh urged locals to recall anything unusual around the time Shah vanished. “If you use the woodland near Hedgerley Lane, please think back. Your tip could be crucial,” he said.

£20,000 Reward for Killer’s Capture

Police are hunting information about several vehicles linked to the case — including a black BMW X5 with cloned plates stolen earlier this year, and a badly damaged Blue Range Rover Evoque spotted near Shah on the day he disappeared.

A reward of £20,000 is offered for info that leads to arrest and conviction. DCI McHugh warned: “Think of the pain your silence causes Shah’s family. If you know something, speak up now.”

Tragic Timeline: Shah Missing Since May

Shah, 27, vanished from Hounslow, West London, on Tuesday, 7 May after last being seen at 12:30pm that day. His family reported him missing near midnight.

Shah’s car was found on 19 June with bullet damage, shifting the probe firmly into a murder inquiry. Then, on 3 August, police recovered the stolen BMW X5 in Hounslow and are chasing leads on its movements since May.

Police want anyone with information on Shah’s disappearance, or the suspicious vehicles, to call 101 immediately.
