Police Slam ‘County Lines’ for Spreading Crime and Violence
Chief Superintendent Richard Tucker said: “This morning’s arrests show the Met’s commitment to slashing violence in Newham and East London. ‘County lines’ gangs from London spread crime and misery across towns nationwide. This operation, alongside neighbouring forces, is part of a long-term crackdown on gang activity.”
Detective Inspector Jim McKee added: “Our cross-border action with Suffolk Police has netted seven suspects in the fight against ‘county lines’ drug crime. These gangs export violence beyond London. We’re determined to disrupt their networks and reduce violence on our streets.”
