Six Arrested and £100k Cash Seized in Major South West London County Lines Bust

Six suspects, aged 18 to 24, have been hauled in and a whopping £100,000 in cash confiscated in a police swoop targeting a suspected county lines drug operation running out of South West London.

Early-Morning Raids Rock Wandsworth

In a series of dawn raids on Wednesday 24 June, officers from the Met’s South West Gangs & Proactive Unit stormed multiple homes, mostly in Wandsworth. They arrested three men and three women suspected of Conspiracy to Supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property.

The raids uncovered not just cash, but also two pricey watches, a machete, high-powered scooters, and various pieces of jewellery – all evidence of a lucrative drug ring.

Hampshire Cops Join the Crackdown

The operation didn’t stop at London’s borders. Hampshire Constabulary pitched in, carrying out five arrest enquiries across homes in Hampshire, expanding the dragnet against organised drug crime.

Zero Tolerance on County Lines

Acting Detective Inspector Treasa O’Donoghue, the operation lead, declared: “The South West Gangs & Proactive Unit takes a zero tolerance approach to those we suspect of being involved in county lines, drug dealing, and wider organised crime.”

“Organised criminal networks ruthlessly exploit vulnerable individuals purely for financial gain. It is a top priority for us to bring these criminals to justice.”

“We will relentlessly pursue anyone running or working for drug networks to tackle the serious violent crime driven by drug supply that devastates communities.”

The raids involved local officers, the Territorial Support Group (TSG), and the Police Dog Support Unit (DSU), marking a major strike against organised crime in the Wandsworth area.
