A brutal stabbing in Croydon has left a man fighting for his life — but police still haven’t caught the attacker. The dramatic knife attack happened three days ago in South London’s New Addington, and the suspect remains at large.

Victim’s Condition Improves, But Danger Lurks

Emergency crews raced to Lodge Lane at 10.50pm on Sunday, February 2, after reports of a man injured on the street. The victim, a man believed to be in his 40s, was found with serious stab wounds and rushed to hospital. Initially critical, his condition has now stabilised.

On Wednesday, February 5, the Metropolitan Police confirmed he is no longer in a life-threatening state. Yet the hunt for the attacker is far from over — no arrests have been made.

Police Plead for Clues as Investigation Deepens

A crime scene still blocks Lodge Lane as detectives pore over evidence. The Met urges anyone with information or footage to step forward immediately.

“Police were called at about 10.50pm on Sunday, February 2, to reports of a man found injured in the road on Lodge Lane in Croydon. Emergency services attended. The man, who is believed to be aged in his 40s, was found to be suffering from stab injuries.”

“He has been taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition. His next of kin are aware. A crime scene is in place. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.”
