Teen Arrested After Brutal Double Stabbing in Newham

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two men were viciously stabbed in Newham late Thursday night.

Two Victims in Critical Condition

Police rushed to Forest Lane, E7, at 11.53pm on 9 January following reports of the attack. The victims, aged 19 and 23, suffered multiple stab wounds and were rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service. Both remain in critical but stable condition.

Section 60 Imposed as Police Investigate

The teenager stays in police custody as detectives continue to probe the shocking assault. A Section 60 stop-and-search was authorised across Newham from midnight until 10am to aid the investigation.

Road Closures and Witness Appeal

Foregate railway station area roads were partially shut during initial enquiries but have since reopened. Police urge anyone with information to call 101 and quote CAD8578/09JAN.
