A 20-year-old woman was arrested today by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command for failing to disclose information about terrorism, police confirmed.

Woman Snapped Up in South London Terror Probe

Officers swooped at 8.05am in south London, detaining the woman under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act. No firearms officers were needed for the arrest.

A property in the area is now being searched as she remains in custody at a south London police station.

Arrest Linked to Man Held Over Terror Plot

The woman’s arrest follows that of an 18-year-old man, picked up last Friday, 18 May, in north London. He was detained on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts, under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

The male suspect was arrested with the help of armed police and remains in custody. Investigations into both cases are ongoing.
