Bearded Explorer Uncovers Stunning Abandoned Grade 1 Manor in Hampshire
A Hampshire man known as the Bearded Explorer has struck gold by discovering a forgotten Grade 1 listed manor house. After finding a way inside, he revealed the breathtaking beauty of the long-abandoned property.
Frozen in Time: Beauty and History Left to Decay
The manor has stood derelict since around 2012. Inside, untouched books from the 1940s still line the shelves. Stained glass windows and intricate handcrafted wooden sculptures grace the staircases. Antique architecture saturates every corner, preserving a snapshot of the past.
From the top of the building, the Explorer captured stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Hampshire countryside, adding to the manor’s haunting charm.
Risky Expedition Ends in Police Drama
After spending roughly three hours inside, the Bearded Explorer and his friend were arrested for trespassing. But a quick explanation about their passion for historic buildings saw them warned and released on the spot.
“It’s a risky thing to do, but I have a big interest in old historic venues,” the Explorer said. “It’s really exciting to see the things left behind, to experience a moment of how people once lived. Some places look like they’ve been abandoned overnight, as if the owners just got up one day and left.”
“Getting caught was scary – police dogs barking, officers shouting, it all got intense in seconds. Thankfully, the police were decent and listened before letting us go,” he added.
The Bearded Explorer’s risky adventure provides a rare glimpse into a lost piece of Hampshire’s heritage – locked away in dust and silence, just waiting to be rediscovered.
