Police Hunt Man Over Shocking Tooting Station Assault

Officers are on the lookout for a man caught on CCTV after a violent incident at Tooting railway station on October 26. The assault happened around 5 p.m., sparking a police appeal to track down the suspect.

Man Shoves Through Ticket Barrier, Grabs Staff Member’s Neck

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesperson said: “A man tried to shuffle through the ticket barrier but was stopped by rail staff. Before leaving, he pushed past the barrier and grabbed the staff member’s neck.” The victim was clearly targeted after trying to prevent fare evasion.
