Big Blow to Cybercrime! The National Crime Agency (NCA) has shut down one of the UK’s biggest DDoS booting sites in a major crackdown on cybercrime.

Top DDoS Service Taken Offline

The agency targeted the site during a sustained campaign to disrupt the criminal DDoS-for-hire industry. This site, run by officers undercover, was among the most powerful, responsible for over 30 million attacks worldwide.

NCA Warns Against Cybercrime

Alan Merrett from the NCA’s National Cyber Crime Unit said, “Booter services are a key enabler of cyber crime.” He warned that these services make it easy for amateur hackers to launch attacks, thanks to their user-friendly interfaces and supposed anonymity.

International Effort to Catch Cybercriminals

The crackdown isn’t just local. Law enforcement agencies abroad are now receiving intelligence to track down overseas offenders. Traditional arrests and site takedowns remain crucial in fighting these cyber gangs. The NCA’s recent action also targeted an alleged site admin known only as “123.”
