Chaos erupted on London Road, Chippenham, when a teenage boy was viciously stabbed just after 4pm on Saturday. Police were first on the scene near Royal Oak Close, providing urgent first aid to the bleeding victim sprawled on the pavement.
Double Air Ambulance Rush to Scene
Ambulance crews were backed by Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance and Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC), both helicopters landing in Baydons Meadow to offer critical support. The injured lad was rushed by land ambulance to Southmead Hospital, Bristol, with GWAAC medics attending during the emergency journey.
16-Year-Old Arrested As London Road Sealed Off
A 16-year-old boy was swiftly arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He was taken to Melksham custody for questioning. London Road remains shut both ways between Avenue la Fleche and Blackcross as police launch a full-scale probe.
