Teen Stabbed to Death in South London Horror

Police were called at 7.38pm on Monday, April 4, to reports of a stabbing on Hicken Road, SW2. They found 16-year-old Rommel McKoy with fatal stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital but tragically died. His official date of death is recorded as April 20, 2022.

Family Devastated as Murder Probe Launches

Rommel’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. The Met Police have now upgraded the case to a murder investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Sal Minhas said: “A 16-year-old boy has lost his life and his family deserve answers. We are committed to bringing those responsible to justice. If you haven’t spoken to police yet, please do so immediately – even the smallest detail could be crucial.”

Two Teens Arrested and Bailed

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Friday, April 15, and a 17-year-old was picked up on Wednesday, April 20. Both have been released on bail until mid-May as the investigation continues.

Community Plea: Help Bring Justice for Rommel

Detective Superintendent Neerav Patel urged the public to help. “Despite progress in reducing violence, tragedies like this remind us there is still a lot to do. Extra officers have been patrolling the area. Our thoughts are with Rommel’s family, especially his grieving mother. We’ll support them for as long as needed.”
