Hit-and-Run Horror: Police Officer Hospitalised After Brutal Walsall Crash
West Midlands Police have cracked down hard after a hit-and-run left an officer seriously injured in Walsall. A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the shocking crash that damaged the officer’s leg.
Fast Arrest After Early Morning Chase in Oldbury
The incident happened around 10:30am on Thursday, February 24. After a frantic search, police acted swiftly based on intelligence and stopped a vehicle in Oldbury at 5:15am the next day.
Officers found drugs inside the vehicle and arrested the driver not only for attempted murder but also for possession with intent to supply.
Two Men Now in Custody Over Drugs and Assault
Alongside the driver, a 21-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and links to the discovered drugs. Both suspects remain locked up and are being questioned.
Officer’s Condition ‘Not Life-Changing’ But Recovery Continues
The injured officer is currently receiving hospital treatment for serious leg wounds. While medics are hopeful the injuries won’t cause permanent damage, the recovery process is ongoing.
