Man Hospitalised After Afternoon Attack in Swindon Town Centre
Emergency services raced to The Parade in Swindon shortly after 3 p.m. today (24/07) following reports of a disturbance. A man in his 30s was found with a serious neck injury and rushed to hospital. Thankfully, his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
Quick Police Action Leads to Arrest
Officers swiftly searched the area and arrested a 30-year-old local man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He is now held at Gablecross Police Station as inquiries continue.
I know this incident will have caused concern amongst the local community, especially as it happened during a busy Sunday afternoon,” said Detective Inspector Rachel Hardy of Swindon CID.
“I’m pleased we made a quick arrest and have a suspect in custody.”
“Our investigations are ongoing, and we urge anyone who witnessed the incident but hasn’t yet spoken to police to come forward.”
