Shock Stun Gun Attack in Broad Daylight: Victims Targeted in Farnol Road Car
Stun Gun Used in Attempted Mobile Phone Theft
On Friday 18 March 2022, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s were sitting in a car on Farnol Road when trouble struck. A pair of suspects—a man and a woman on foot—approached their vehicle. The male attacker fired a stun gun through the car window, hitting the man’s leg in a desperate bid to snatch his mobile phone.
Suspects Flee Amid Chase
After the shock attack, the suspects bolted. The victim gave chase, but the crooks escaped. The male suspect is described as a white man, around 30, standing 5’11” with a medium build and messy mousey-blond hair. He wore a black tracksuit from head to toe.
The female accomplice is white, also around 30, slim and about 5’5″. She sported light brown hair in a bun, a grey and pink tracksuit, and a grey beanie hat.
Attack Escalates: Vehicle Vandalised by Masked Men
The female victim stayed in the car, but her ordeal was far from over. Moments later, three men in dark clothes and balaclavas attacked the vehicle with metal poles. These thugs chased her on foot as she tried to drive away, continuing to smash her car on Keyes Road.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
“This was an unprovoked attack on two strangers,” said Detective Constable Martin Stevens. “Fortunately, nobody was seriously hurt. We urge anyone who saw what happened to get in touch with the police. Drivers with dashcams and locals with CCTV or doorbell cameras should check their footage.”
Two teenage boys were arrested but later released pending further investigation. Kent Police ask anyone with information to call 01474 366149 and quote reference 46/50643/22.
