Teenager Tragically Killed in Whitfield Road Crash
At around 7.40pm on Friday 15 October 2010, a blue Vauxhall Astra crashed into a 13-year-old girl crossing the A256 at Whitfield Hill. The collision happened just after the car exited the Whitfield roundabout.
Girl Pronounced Dead at the Scene
Emergency services arrived quickly, but the young pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family have been informed and are being supported by police.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward. They believe such information could be crucial to their enquiries.
